Hello and welcome! I’m Tom Kuegler, and I’m a blogger.
Before the 16,000 Medium followers and five-figure blogging paychecks, I started as a freelancer making $10 per hour.
I didn’t know much back then–but I DID know I couldn’t ever work a regular 9-5 job. That was music to my parent’s ears after graduation, LET ME TELL YOU. After a lot of mistakes I became a contributor to big sites like the Inquisitr, and fell in love with the idea of blogging for a living.
In June of 2016, exactly a year after I graduated, I decided to go on a cross-country road trip and become a “travel blogger.” Three weeks after I left I became a contributor at The Huffington Post, and four weeks after that I wrote my first-ever viral post. It received upwards of 100,000 views in 24 hours.
I wrote a lot back then, but this blog NEVER got the traction I wanted. After I left San Francisco in September of 2016, I largely put blogging on hold until I got home in October.
